 Stephen Proud MBBS, FRANZCP, FACAM (Fellow of the Australian College of Addiction Medicine), Dr Proud completed also Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science. He has been working in private practice for 9 years. Prior to specializing in psychiatry Dr Proud had been working as a General Practitioner for 15 years experience in Metropolitan and Rural areas as well as in The Third World countries. Throughout his extensive professional experience he has been exposed to vast range of social and cultural problems with very diverse population of patients. Dr Proud has been particularly interested in addiction psychiatry, Buddhist psychotherapy, Post-traumatic Stress Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, medico-legal psychiatry, general psychiatry, partifularly anxiety and depression. Dr Proud has had extensive medico-legal experience. He has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He has been an active member of the Faculty of old Age psychiatry.
