![]() Melissa Ree B.Psych, M.Psych (Clinical), Ph.D. Research Director; Dr Melissa Ree completed a Bachelor of Science with first class honours in Psychology at UWA in 1996. She completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. at UWA in 2001. Her research involved the development and validation of the State-Trait Inventory for Cognitive and Somatic Anxiety (STICSAS). She has worked for two years at the University of Oxford as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry. She was responsible for the running of a treatment trial investigating the effectiveness of Cognitive Therapy in Chronic Insomnia. She has developed and implemented research protocols for a number of laboratory studies. Dr Ree has worked as the Research Director in public and private mental health services and has experience in development and evaluation of psychometric measures in psychiatry.
